Muckle's people first strategy secures award nomination
We're delighted to have been shortlisted for our people-first culture at the North East Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2024.
The judging panel named us as a finalist in the 'People and Work Business of the Year (National)' category, with the winners set to be announced at Sage Gateshead on 27 June 2024.
The award recognises businesses that show commitment to recruiting, training and retaining a skilled and diverse workforce, which has led to an improvement in business performance. Shortlisted businesses had to demonstrate how diversity and inclusion are prioritised and play a pivotal role in their culture.

The shortlisting comes on the back of a flurry of recent awards and nominations for our people strategy, including:
- North East Business Awards - Best Place to Work (WINNER).
- North East Chamber of Commerce - Inspiring Females Awards - Most Inspiring Employer (WINNER).
- HR&D Awards 2023 - Excellence in Organisational & People Development (WINNER)
- Legal 500 ESG Awards 2024 - Social Mobility: Best Initiative to Attract and Retain Talent (outside London) - (Shortlist).
- UK Employer of the Year (50-249 people): Platinum at the Investors In People Awards 2023 (Shortlist).
B a force for good
We recently became the first law firm in the North East and Cumbria to achieve B Corp accreditation, awarded to businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
